I have been with ridgeacre for 20 years. I always manage to get an appointment All of the gps are helpfull and easy to talk to. I suffer with depression and i have always found it easy to get the help i need from all the gps. I can honestly say i have no complaints at all and feel like i am well looked after. Thankyou

On phoning this morning I was greeted by a very helpful receptionist. I explained that my son (although older) was atypical autistic and would struggle. She suggested a doctor where the waiting time could be less. Upstairs where the doctor was situated was very busy so I asked a receptionist if I could sit downstairs with my son, to lessen his anxiety. She said this would be no problem. Dr Hull actually came down for us. I have never had a bad experience with this practice. Excellent care always.

Receptionists have no clue. It took 3 attempts to get login details for the online service - the first two lots were wrong, apparently the receptionists who gave me them didn't save the details to my account. I had to keep going into surgery, apparently even having seen me twice they couldn't give me details over the phone. Then when I did go down, I wasn't asked for ID or any info, details just printed straight out and handed over. A medication that should be on repeat prescription wasn't showing online; I was told I'd need to put it in writing for a doctor, so I wrote a note, went into surgery, and the receptionist just asked my date of birth and the medication then ticked a box on the system. Again, no idea why that couldn't be done over the phone. They have no appreciation that, when you work full time, coming into surgery unnecessarily is really inconvenient. We've been given wrong information about when online appointments become available. Some receptionists are very rude and seem to delight in being obstructive and unhelpful. It took 2 weeks to get a copy of my notes - apparently a doctor needs to approve pressing print. Quite why a simple freedom of information request has to go through a Doctor I have no idea (unless you are writing notes that you don't want public and a doctor needs to vet them, which totally defeats the point of FOI). No wonder doctors are so busy if they're doing the admin. Getting an appointment is impossible. They don't seem to realise that it is possible to be ill, injured or have concerns that don't require a day off work. You have to phone at 8.30 or 2.30 to stand a chance of getting an appointment, so if you work at these times, tough, you won't get seen. And usually if you do get through, they are all miraculously taken anyway. If you don't have the luxury of being unemployed or able to drop work at short notice, you'll wait 2/3 weeks for an appointment easily. There's rarely anybody available after 5pm so again, don't be ill if you work. When you do get to see a doctor they are generally very good, although you do usually wait anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour. I once waited an hour when there was an empty waiting room - when I went to complain, I got called straight in. Nobody else had come out, so I can only assume the doctor had got engrossed in the adminand FOIs they apparently have to do and forgotten to see patients. Unfortunately, getting an appointment is such an ordeal that I rarely bother trying unless it is absolutely unavoidable. For most things I just power though and hope it isn't serious.

Great surgery and the care received from dr Manley and dr Saunders is exceptional! They are the best doctors I came across for me and my both children, caring, professional and listening. I have been finding it hard to get through to surgery on the phone to book morning appointment, like all surgeries I suppose but the receptionist registered me and my family for online booking system. It has been the best thing I ever used! I always get choice of appointments and can book them in seconds at about 7.30-8. Great surgery!

Not very user friendly and everytime I have been I have had to wait but the few times I have been late I have had to wait much longer then be told off about it. Do not feel that the staff have my best interest at heart. I have tried to find something I like but can not think of anything. I feel that I have been treated as if I am a problem when I have never done anything to warrant that. Now that I have thought about it the best thing this surgery does is save money and are good money managers.
